The jury of the 40th Grand Prix has awarded the Grand Prix to the CD published by Hungaroton: Faust Symphony – Tausig Transcription performed by István Lajkó

The Tausig transcription of the Faust Symphony recorded for the first time ever to disc by István Lajkó is a huge undertaking. In addition to the impeccable technique and the rich sound that gives the impression of an orchestra playing, the thoughtfulness of the sublime music and the deep and conceptual performance are worth of praise.
